Exterior
Chevrolet gives each Traverse trim a clear personality. The LT keeps body-colour mouldings and mould-in-colour black roof rails for a simple, clean look. The Z71 adds an outdoor theme with red tow hooks, gloss black roof rails and 18-inch high gloss black machined-face wheels on all-terrain tires. The RS goes darker with a high gloss black sporty grille and black bodyside mouldings. The High Country tops the range with a black bowtie emblem and its new 22-inch high gloss black machined-face aluminum wheels. LED headlamps with a walk-up and exit animation and sequential turn signals are standard across the board.
The Traverse stretches 5,194 mm from bumper to bumper. Standard ground clearance is 172 mm, rising to 197 mm on the Z71. The AutoSense power liftgate opens the cargo area on every trim. LED tail lamps, Rainsense automatic wipers and heated power-folding mirrors with driver auto-dimming come standard on the RS and High Country. Buyers who want more light inside can add the dual-pane panoramic power sunroof to the LT or Z71, while the RS and High Country include it.
Interior
The cabin focuses on easy-to-reach technology. The 17.7-inch diagonal centre display with Google built-in compatibility handles audio, apps and camera views, and an 11-inch diagonal Driver Information Centre shows driving data. The shifter is mounted on the steering column and uses Electronic Precision Shift. Every trim includes wireless phone charging, rear USB ports, tri-zone automatic climate control and rear climate controls. Heated front seats, a heated steering wheel and remote start are standard. The RS and High Country add ventilated front seats, heated rear outboard seats and a Universal Home Remote.
Seating is arranged 2-2-3 for seven people, and the LT offers an eight-passenger option. On the passenger side of the second row, a SmartSlide seat moves forward with a single lever pull for quicker third-row entry. Front legroom is 1,125 mm, second-row legroom is 1,053 mm and third-row legroom is 816 mm. With all seats up, the Traverse holds 648 L of cargo. Folding the third row opens 1,603 L, and folding both rear rows creates 2,764 L. On the RS and High Country, the third row folds with power in a 60/40 split, and second-row bucket seats replace the bench.
Powertrain
Every 2027 Traverse uses one powertrain. The 2.5L turbocharged four-cylinder makes 328 hp and 326 lb-ft of torque, and it works with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Technology
Seeing what is going on inside and outside the vehicle is a theme for 2027. The interior camera shows a live view of the second and third rows on the centre screen. HD Surround Vision, the Rear Camera Mirror and Rear Pedestrian Alert are standard on the Z71, RS and High Country, and available on the LT. Every Traverse is Wi-Fi Hotspot capable and includes a SiriusXM with 360L trial subscription. The RS and High Country upgrade the six-speaker system to a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system and add Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist.
Chevrolet Safety Assist comes on every trim with automatic emergency braking, Forward Collision Alert, Front Pedestrian Braking, Following Distance Indicator and IntelliBeam. Standard features also include Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Zone Steering Assist and Side Bicyclist Alert. Reverse Automatic Braking and Rear Cross Traffic Braking are standard as well. Super Cruise, which allows hands-free driving on compatible roads, is standard on the RS and High Country and available on the LT and Z71. It keeps prompting the driver to watch the road and includes up to three years of OnStar One with Super Cruise.
