10 Luxury Features Found in the 2026 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban High Country

Luxury SUV interior featuring a modern dashboard, touchscreen displays, and brown leather seats.

The High Country trim sits at the top of the 2026 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban lineup — and it doesn’t get there by adding a single upgrade. It’s a substantial package of premium materials, advanced technology, and driver assistance features that clearly separate it from every trim below. Here are 10 features that define the High Country experience in both models.

1. Standard 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 Engine

Every High Country comes standard with the 6.2L EcoTec3 V8, producing 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. That’s the top gasoline output in the Tahoe and Suburban lineup — the 5.3L V8 that’s standard on lower trims simply isn’t offered here. The 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel I-6 (305 hp, 495 lb-ft) remains available if long-range efficiency is a priority.

2. Magnetic Ride Control Suspension

Magnetic Ride Control is standard on the High Country trim of both vehicles. The system continuously adjusts suspension damping to respond to road inputs in real time, delivering a noticeably smoother and more controlled ride than the standard suspension found on lower trims. On Ontario roads — including the 401 corridor through Whitby — this is a meaningful daily difference.

3. Standard Rear Camera Mirror

A Rear Camera Mirror is standard on the High Country and available on lower trims. It allows the driver to switch between a conventional interior rearview mirror view and a wide-angle camera display, eliminating obstruction from headrests, cargo, and passengers when backing up or monitoring traffic. It’s particularly useful when the third row is occupied and rear sight lines are compromised.

4. Animated LED Headlamps and Taillamps

The High Country features LED headlamps and taillamps with animated lighting sequences — a visual distinction not available on lower trim levels, where standard LED headlamps and taillamps have no animation. The animated signature creates a distinctive look on approach and departure that sets the High Country apart at night.

5. Standard Super Cruise Capability (Available Package)

Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance technology is available on the High Country in both models (it’s not available at all on LS trims). The system allows hands-free steering on more than 640,000 km of compatible highways across Canada and the United States — the largest compatible highway network of any hands-free system in North America. A 3-year trial is included when purchased with the available Super Cruise package.

6. Perforated Leather Seating with Heated and Ventilated Front Seats

The High Country’s perforated leather seating surfaces are standard front and rear, and the front seats include both heating and ventilation as standard equipment. Lower trims like the LT offer optional leather-appointed seating without ventilation. The heated and ventilated combination is only available from the Premier trim and higher — making it a clear step up in daily comfort.

7. Power Second and Third Row Seats

Power-folding second and third row seats are standard on the High Country in both the Tahoe and Suburban. On lower trims, second and third row folding is manual. For families who regularly reconfigure the cargo space — switching between eight-passenger mode and full load-hauling mode — this is a significant convenience upgrade.

8. Standard Bose CenterPoint Surround Audio

The High Country’s standard Bose CenterPoint Surround 10-speaker audio system is a step above the 6-speaker system found on the LS and LS 4WD. The Bose system is standard from LT and above in both models — but the High Country pairs it with the additional cabin refinements that let you hear the difference.

9. Power-Sliding Centre Console

A power-sliding centre console is standard on the High Country (and Premier). On LS and custom trims, the front console setup is different. The power-sliding console allows the driver’s and front passenger’s seats to be configured more flexibly for different cabin layouts — useful on longer drives when front-row comfort matters.

10. Available 17.7-Inch Advanced Colour LCD Display — Standard on Both Models

Both the Tahoe and Suburban come with a 17.7-inch diagonal advanced colour LCD display as standard equipment across all trims. The High Country’s interior packaging and materials — open-pore wood trim, premium leather, and ambient lighting options — make the most of the technology at the centre of the cabin. Google built-in capability, wireless Apple CarPlay, and wireless Android Auto are standard across the lineup, including High Country.
